What does the treatment involve?

Smile design is a planning approach that considers tooth shape, shade, position and the relationship to the lips alongside oral health. It is not the name of one procedure. A small restorative change may be discussed for one person while another may need a sequence of different treatments. Hollywood Smile does not mean an identical tooth shape or a standard treatment package for everyone.

Assessment and treatment planning

Describe the aspects of your smile that concern you and the appearance you hope for. The dentist considers gum health, existing restorations, the bite and facial relationships. Photographs or digital planning can help structure that conversation. They do not replace a clinical examination and should not be read as a promise of a particular final appearance.

Which alternatives should you discuss?

Whitening, composite restorations, crowns and other options address different needs. Where appropriate, discuss options that preserve more natural tooth tissue. Ask about preparation, reversibility, temporary stages, alternatives and maintenance before making a decision. A single before-and-after image cannot show whether the same treatment would suit your own teeth and gums.

Care and follow-up

Maintaining oral hygiene, gum health and follow-up is part of caring for any changes. Existing fillings and crowns do not change shade in the same way as natural teeth during whitening. If a shade change is planned, discuss the order of treatment and how existing restorations will be matched. Obtain care and review advice for your particular plan.

Planning your visit to Istanbul

If you live outside Istanbul, include your country, the treatment you are considering and possible travel dates in your first enquiry. Existing images may help the initial conversation. Ask the clinic what is useful before arranging new imaging. Diagnosis and a confirmed plan require examination; a remote conversation prepares for that visit.

Before committing to flights or accommodation, clarify examination and treatment appointments, laboratory or healing stages and possible additional visits. Do not assume flights, hotels or transfers are included in treatment fees. Confirm needs and responsibilities directly. Planning should also cover where reviews will take place after you return home and when to contact the Istanbul clinic.

What affects the treatment estimate?

A treatment name alone does not determine its cost. The number of teeth, existing restorations, additional assessment, material choice and stages of care can affect the overall scope. General information in an initial message is different from a plan following examination. When comparing options, request an explanation that identifies the proposed procedures and possible additional needs.

Ask whether examination, imaging, temporary stages, laboratory work, final restorations and reviews are included. Payment timing, what happens if the plan changes and separate travel expenses should be clear. A personalised fee or outcome cannot be established here without assessing your individual situation.
